Origin[]

Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR; Northwest German Broadcasting) began broadcasting in the 1920s to cover areas of Saxony, Hamburg and the northernmost states. In 1933 it was nationalized under the growing Third Reich and renamed the Reichssender Hamburg. Joseph Goebbels utilized broadcasted propaganda across the British Isles to chip away civilian morale. War reports from traitor Lord Haw-Haw were often relayed through their network. As the final remaining on-air stations, they announced the death of Hitler to the nation.

Afterwards they became a public service providing news updates and later documentaries. Consumer demands in 1955 split the NWDR into two separate entities which are still in operation today.

Description[]

An early hard hat kept after the initial construction was finished as a memento and later survived the war intact. Appears to have been a cherished attraction by one of the head broadcasters, Kirkhomm “Kirk” Harman.

Effects[]

Projects user’s voice to a directed area. Focusing on a small area creates a quiet, but repeating message. The larger the broadcast coverage, the louder the message but the faster it fades from hearing. Most just assume it was a trick of the wind.

Due to all the vitriol it pumped through in a past life, it jumbles around beliefs. Shatters their memories to pieces, effectively breaking apart their past experiences and identity. Makes the user susceptible to believing lies. Without a coherent message to follow or life to remember, it becomes easy to swallow whole anything told to them as complete truth.

Appearances[]

Not physically seen but mentioned in the episode “Around the Bend”. Listed as a contingency for eliminating Agent Donovan if a situation ever arose. Chosen as a non-lethal method intended to remove her memories of working for the Warehouse.
