Origin[]
The Harlem Globetrotters are an exhibition basketball team that has existed in some form since the 1940's. They are well known for their unique style of play that combines sports and comedy. Their basketball absorbed the unique energy of their performances and became an artifact.
Collection[]
The basketball was sold at a memorabilia auction in the 1980's and came into the possession of a group of bank robbers. Agents were able to track down the artifact in 1996 when an entire bank in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania was stunned during a robbery.
Effects[]
When spun on the finger, the basketball allows the user to mesmerize anyone watching it. This is how the Globetrotters were able to make such outrageous plays in view of a full audience. A side effect of the ball is that "Sweet Georgia Brown", the theme song of the Globetrotters, will play while in use.
