Origin[]
Greta Garbo was a Swedish actress who was an international icon during the 1920s and 30s. Her career took off when she starred in the silent film Torrent, produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in Hollywood. Garbo's first talking film was Anna Christie (1930). MGM marketers enticed the public with the catch-phrase "Garbo talks!" As her popularity grew, she became more selective of her roles. She was later declared by critics to be box office poison and her career suffered. A brief resurgence in the 1940s failed and she declined all offers to return to film. She became more private, never married or had children, instead maintaining a large art collection.
Effects[]
Application of the make-up will increase the wearer's beauty and acting skills. The make-up also transmits her mindset, leading to the user becoming prone to reclusiveness, sexual thoughts, and frequent use of her most famous quotes and movie lines, particularly "I want to be alone" (spoken in Garbo's own voice). The make-up's effects are transmittable through direct contact with the wearer's applied areas, although this "second hand" effect is less potent and will wear off without neutralizer. The real downside is that eventually the user will also absorb Garbo's grief and regrets, driving them into depression.
