Origin

The Kingdom of Poland and The Grand Duchy of Lithuania have been under a Personal Union under the Jagiellon dynasty. However in 1569 King Sigismund I Augustus remained childless and nearing death. Thus the Nobles of Poland and Lithuania met and signed the Union of Lublin. Which would unite the two nations creating the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and also establishing an Elective Monarchy in the state.

In 1573, A year after Sigismund's death. The Szlachta (Polish Nobility) met at the field of Wola.
