Origin[]
George Joyce was an officer in the New Model Army during the English Civil War, where soldiers worked fulltime rather than parttime militia members and served wherever Parliament decreed. While the New Model Army was assembling for rendezvous at the behest of the recently formed Army Council, between June 2-5, 1647, George Joyce seized King Charles I from Parliament's custody and brought him to Thomas Fairfax's headquarters, a move that weakened Parliament's position and strengthened the Army's.
Effects[]
Gives wearer a desire to overthrow unjust leadership. Artifact is semi-sentient and may cause wearer to overthrow a leader who is not necessarily unjust.
