OriginEdit

Garðar Svavarsson is considered by many to be the first Scandinavian to live in Iceland, although he is said to have stayed only for one winter. A native of Denmark, he sailed to the Hebrides islands to collect inheritance from his new father-in-law. On the voyage there, he encountered a storm that pushed him north until he reached Iceland. He arrived ashore, built a house and stayed on the island for the winter, later returning home with tales of a new landmass.

EffectsEdit

Activates whenever contacted by the water or anything colder than itself. Recreates brutal winter conditions, whisking up strong winds, below normal temperatures and near-constant snowfall. The area affected grows over time, including nearby waterways and affecting the local atmosphere. Occurs rapidly within weeks at most, causing animals to panic wildly and plants to rapidly absorb nutrients for the early frost. Direct exposure to the elements is dangerous to humans, but is miraculously nonlethal.
