Origin[edit | edit source]
In 1897, Virginia O’Hanlon wrote, “Is there a Santa Claus?” to the New York newspaper The Sun. Francis Pharcellus Church wrote an editorial with the line “yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” and it filled the nation with hope and joy.
Effects[edit | edit source]
The original editorial fills everyone who reads it with great joy and hope. Reading it aloud will affect more people. When read aloud it can be broadcast by radio and television, but the radius of effect is unknown.
