Fathi Terbil is a Libyan lawyer and human rights activist and member of the National Transitional Council (NTC) representing Libyan youth. He represented the relatives of over a thousand prisoners killed by Libyan security forces in Abu Salim Prison in 1996. In February, 2011, Terbil was arrested, this arrest sparked a demonstration in Benghazi which sparked the Libyan Civil War. Later that month Terbil was freed and appointed to his position on the NTC.
