Origin[edit | edit source]
Unknown, but its effects suggest that it may have had something to do with the death of a senior citizen. Whether or not it was intentional is up for speculation.
Usage[edit | edit source]
When it is placed upon a wall in a house where an elderly person is staying, the temperature within the house will change dramatically. In the summer the thermostat will make the house unbearably hot, causing heatstroke. In the winter the house will turn cold, freezing the victim to death.
If the thermostat is placed in a home where there are no elderly people it will remain inactive.
Collection[edit | edit source]
Hugo collected the thermostat after several senior citizens in a nursing home were being treated for hypothermia. What made the ordeal more confusing was that it was July, in Miami. Hugo finally found the culprit in the thermostat. When asked where they found it one custodian said he bought it at an estate sale of an elderly neighbor.
