OriginEdit

In November 2005 the group know as EepyBird (Fritz and Stephen) created the very first sketch of Coke and Mentos at the end of the larger sketch "In the Kitchen with Fritz". By introducing a full sleeve of the mints Mentos into a two liter bottle of diet coke. The experiment got 14,000 views but as the video went viral it jumped up to the millions, sixty million by 2009. Their next video was to experiment with doing multiple bottles at once. Their final one in their trilogy of viral videos was using sticky notes in order to create rainbows when dropping them in a slinky like effect off taller objects.

EffectsEdit

Though the Sticky Notes had their own experiment, it seems that their mutual popularity wth the mentos video has combined together into one artifact. When one is stuck to the outside of any container with liquid in it, (soda, water, even motor oil was tested) the liquid would bubble and shoot out as if Mentos were added to it.
