OriginEdit

Edward Teach, more commonly known as Blackbeard, was a pirate who operated in the West Indies and American colonies coastline. Teach was mentored by and later succeeded reputed pirate Benjamin Hornigold, capturing ships while commanding Hornigold’s crew. Teach captured a French merchant vessel, renamed her Queen Anne's Revenge, and equipped her with 40 guns. His crew named him Blackbeard for his thick beard, which he would sometimes light on fire to scare his enemies. He successfully blockaded Charleston, crashed the Queen Anne’s and received a royal pardon, but was latter killed by a group of sailors. He was considered a fair leader by his crew, who gave him permission to command their ships, and relied more on his fearsome public image than violent force.

EffectsEdit

Swinging shackles in a circular motion in the air creates a low pressure system that can cause the surrounding area to become enveloped in storms.
