OriginEdit

Eddie Murphy, comedian/actor/writer, was performing on stage during the taping of his new comedy special "Delirious" when a fan shouted out "Do Mr. Rob!", a character from a past skit. Another fan then silenced the heckler. In his surprise Murphy dropped his microphone, laughing. The mic drop has now become synonymous with an argument coming to a definite close, and has been employed by rappers, comedians, and even President Obama.

EffectsEdit

Brings arguments to a definite end, but only when used in conjunction with a witty finishing line.

CollectionEdit

Collected by Claudia from a high school debate tournament. The Warehouse found it odd when the opposing team surrendered after the first team closed their opening argument with a "yo-mama" joke and a mic drop.
