OriginEdit

Ed Bishop, born Stephen, was a slave owned by Franklin Gorlin, the owner of Mammoth Caves in Kentucky. A brave, bright man with natural charisma, Bishop is known as one of the greatest explorers of Mammoth Caves. He would often trek alone through miles of tunnel, surveying the caves and mapping them out. He would also lead groups and personal expeditions. He was the first to cross "The Bottomless Pit", a massive hole within the cave system, and discovered most of the area beyond including the standing water with blind fish. Unfortunately he died a year after gaining his freedom, and passed away under unknown circumstances.

EffectsEdit

When the lantern senses desperation from someone who is lost it the light will focus and point in one direction. The lantern's light will guide the explorer to safety, much like Bishop did.

CollectionEdit

Collected by one of the earlier members of Warehouse 13. While wandering lost through Mammoth Caves looking for another artifact, John Croghan's Limestone Brick, the agents found this lantern which led them to safety.
