Origin[]
This artifact can be tied directly to its creator, Ms. Heather Troubis. Relatively unknown, she experienecd brief success when two of her dresses were picked up by major brands. Clearly desperate to carry on her good fortune, she devoted most of her free time to dress design. No-one saw here after that, besides the few times she left her studio apartment for food. Neighbors reported loud crashed and frequent shouting, as well as more than one such mannequin thrown out of her window onto the street below.
Warehouse attention was drawn to the case after the [police were called to attend what sounded to be a violent breakdown. Ms. Troubis refused to open the door for the, and officers were unable to force it open. Through the exchange, further crashes could be heard until the windows of the apartment burst. Ms. Troubis fell to hear death, followed by six more dress forms tumbling after.
Officers removed the door to her home to find it filled, floor to ceiling, with almost identical mannequins. Most were bare, though some had half-finished dresses and scraps of fabric attached.
Agent Clarence Chanell arrived on the scene and determined the source of the incident after much frustration, inadvertently creating more copies in the process. He vanished en route to the Warehouse with the artifact. His remains and cargo were recovered from Jhamil Haddir's Ashtray in 2014 by agents Bering and Lattimer.
Effects[]
Determined to have been created by Heather's obsessive desire to recreate her success, the dress form duplicates itself in the presence of feelings of anger and frustration. It is believed this effect was initially beneficial to Ms. Troubis, as it allowed her a theoretically infinite supply of mannequins without having to dismantle her previous work.
However as her obsession grew to the point of mania, her feelings towards her continued failings caused the artifact to multiply to the point her home could not contain them. She was likely forced out of her window to her death by the officers repeated attempts to enter her apartment triggering the effect.
