Duncan Campbell was born in what is now called Sápmi, formerly Lappland. He was deaf, and known to be a famous soothsayer. He made predictions about the future using his crystal ball. He was quite a showman, gaining the attention of common folk and royalty alike with his predictions and snake oil medicines.
