Origin[]
David Allan Coe is a celebrated country singer/songwriter known for hillbilly and outlaw country music. His fame has gone up and down in past decades due in part to misidentification as Jimmy Rebel, a stalwart racist country singer, and the subtly of the satirical points in his songs. Coe has written several songs criticizing homophobia, racism, discrimination, etc., but due to the graphic nature of the lyrics in his songs listeners often take the songs at face value.
Usage[]
Users who play the guitar will be able to write and sing satirical country songs. However, listeners will miss the satire and accuse the user of prejudice.
Collection[]
Artie collected this from an online auction. A clever fake has replaced the one currently for sale.
