Origin[]
One half of the X-Files duo, Dana Scully is the rational skeptic side to Fox Mulders' starry-eyed believer. Scully's medical background compels her to believe in only what she can prove factually, rather than take events at face value. However, her Catholic upbringing continually creates doubt over her personal faith and decency when dealing with paranormal cases.
During the events of season three episode "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose", a psychic character is able to locate deaths, even predicting Mulder's future demise. However, when Scully asks how she dies, he plainly replies "you don't". During the sixth season's "Tithonus", the development of Scully's immortality returned. A photographer Alfred who was suspected of killing people was actually found to be an immortal trying to die, as he had somehow avoided it for over a century. Death tries to claim Scully during the investigation, but Alfred takes her place instead. It is theorized by many fans that during this event, combined with other strange encounters, had turned Scully immortal.
Effects[]
Causes functional immortality, allowing wearer to revive after fatal events. Does not confer vitality, physical strength or even lengthened lifespan. Incites extreme existential schism between a person's reason and beliefs, causing them to falter in beliefs in both fact and faith.
