Cuevas de los Cristales, also known as the Cave of the Crystals, is a gigantic multi-chambered cave system located in Chihuahua, Mexico. The cave’s selenite crystals are some of the largest in the world, many of which are larger than several people and weigh several tons. The cave is extremely hot, with air temperatures reaching up to 58 °C (136 °F) and 90 to 99 percent humidity. Although many different chambers have been discovered, it still remains relatively unexplored due to these factors. Scientists and workers require special protective gear to safely enter for periods less than an hour.

Creates massive selenite crystals while also making the surrounding area drastically increase in humidity and temperature until it matches that of the cave system. The sample will begin as the "matrix", from which pillars of other crystals will rapidly grow. Given enough time, the massive crystals will form from the very environment (floors, columns, support beams, etc.).
