Crazy Horse (Literally: His-Horse-Is-Crazy) was an American Indian war chief of the Oglala Lakota suntribe of the Lakota people. He fought fiercely against the U.S. federal government against enroachments onto his tribe's territory and way of life. He was known to be savage in battle and his leadership played the part in many victories for the Native American people including indirectly causing Colonel Custer's infamous defeat.
