Origin
Conrad Hommel (1883 - 1971) was a German painter. He was best known in history for his portraits of leading German entrepreneurs such as Max Grundig and Herbert Quandt along with politicians such as Hermann Goring and Adolf Hitler. Studying under French academic painter Jean-Pail Laurens studio in Paris in 1908 he returned after a year joining the Munich Academy. Due to Hommel's naturalist and realist style, after the Nazis took power, owed him a favor during the new regimen. This made him one of the official painters of Nazi Germany.
