OriginEdit

Cleve Hall is special effects and make up artist who has worked on special effects sets, created props for some more wild singers and acted in several movies.

EffectsEdit

This airbrush absorbed all of the horror of the movies that Cleve Hall would watch as a child, as well as his ambition to make his props look as real as possible. The airbrush paints with a highly toxic chemical that induces hallucinations. When used on a prop/costume, specifically a mask, all who see it will believe that the item is real. For example, if the airbrush were used to paint a Godzilla mask that was then worn by someone, everyone who sees that person will think that the person has a horrific lizard head and run away in fright. The masks or costumes painted by the airbrush will be impossible to remove unless the wearer was already aware of the artifact and what it can do. This is because the airbrush also affects the wearer unless they already know about the airbrush. If they are not aware, then neutralizer will be required.

The airbrush's effects on an object are permanent, so they must be dealt with and neutralized individually. An entire aisle in the warehouse had to be set aside to store the props and costumes that the airbrush has affected (Amityville-29B, otherwise known as 'the Cleve Hall aisle' or 'Cleve Hall's little hall of horrors' by Claudia). Occasionally, another affected prop will be recovered. They are all stored in the same aisle because, according to Leena, “having all of 'its' masks and props together keeps the airbrush happy”.
