Origin[]
Charles Peace was a career thief, serving four years of hard labor for his misdemeanors. Years after his release, Peace shot a copper in Manchester and skipped town to avoid sentencing. He was infatuated by a neighbor’s wife and constantly tried to seduce her. When love letters didn’t work, he instead shot the husband. Although he craftily hid from the police, a bungled break-in led to his capture, trial and execution.
Effects[]
Makes the user believe theft is the only way to survive, especially if their current living situations are in dire straits. Seems to be ineffective on people of moderate wealth or stability. Causes the user to latch onto a random stranger and become obsessed with their presence. Normally causes confrontations and violence with the unfortunate sap.
