OriginEdit

Charles Cretors founded C. Cretors & Co., specializing in popcorn machines and concession equipment. Originally wanting to design a better peanut roaster, his popcorn machine was powered by a steam engine and provided consistent batches of popped kernels. Taking his invention to the Chicago World’s Fair, it proved popular with consumers and vendors, kickstarting his company. It was established in 1885 with the invention of the first large-scale commercial popcorn machine to pop corn in oil.

EffectsEdit

Causes kernels of freshly made popcorn to grow on trees. They are edible to people and most species of wildlife. Over time the kernels will grow stale and fall off the tree like fruit. When there are too many stale kernels attached to the tree, its health will rapidly decline until the kernels are removed or the tree collapses.
