Origin[edit | edit source]
Chang Apana (1871 - 1993) was a Chinese-Hawaiian member of the Honolulu Police Department as a detective. Apana was well known for being an incredible detective arresting dozens upon dozens of criminals in his life time. As well as having amazing luck due to surviving an attack by a man welding a sickle, leaving with only a small scar over his eye. Being thrown out a second story window only to land on his feet. Alerting fellow officers about a horse and buggy carrying contraband after being run over by said buggy. His most impressive case was when he reportedly arrested forty gamblers with no back up and armed only with a bullwhip so his reputation definitely proceeded him.
Effects[edit | edit source]
Warms when around illegal contraband, possible origin of expression 'Gut Feeling' since badge is worn on hip near stomach.
