OriginEdit

Say Anything follows the romance between Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack), an average student, and Diane Court (Ione Skye), the valedictorian, immediately after their graduation from high school. Although they quickly become smitten, Diane’s father disapproves of their new relationship and tries to break them up. In spite of this, Lloyd goes to Diane’s house early dawn and plays "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel, a song Diane loves, on a boombox under her open bedroom window. They then decide to move to England together to fulfill Diane’s fellowship studies there and to get away from her embezzler father.

EffectsEdit

Always plays appropriate background music. It can play anything, but cannot make up its own tunes. Must be kept at least 10 aisles away from the Studio 54 disco ball at all times. Sometimes the boombox will make the user’s father steal money from their workplace or other income source without reason.
