Just Updated
Been thinking about this one for a few days now and I think I've come up withing something good. Haven't though of much of a history for this yet, but I do know that the manuscript will be placed in the Dark Vault. The effects of the artifact would be that whenever somebody reads even a portion of the manuscript, they will see their worst fears, while the downsides would be that the reader would become increasingly paranoid over the next few days or weeks that will balloon into full blown hysteria, eventually leading to a life-ending heart attack.
I'm having trouble deciding on effects. Not sure whether something subtle that affects only a single person emotionally or something more visible and wild is preferred. There probably is a happy mix somewhere, I just can't tell what. So far I;ve come up with:
- greater emotional openness
- intensive contraction of facial muscles
- microbursts showing repressed feelings
- Prosopagnosia, difficulty at recognizing emotions
- momentarily encases their head in metal or stone during a genuine flash of feeling
- a second truthful face flashing over the front/back of the head
- growing another uncensored head akin to Zaphod Beeblebrox
- Paranoid visions filled with demeaning faces of critics
- unformed, featureless faces skittering across walls like a horror movie
I know we're all being hampered by the current thing-that-shall-not-be-named of 2020. I also have a big backlog of artifacts I haven't posted yet. Starting April 1, I'll publish a new page a day to keep our spirits high and my pen at the ready. Cheers.
Wanted to give a head's up to everybody - I will be attempting a sequel to Scalec's Halloween blog post. About 30 new artifacts revolving around the spooky, autumnal and downright delightful.
That said, would anybody else like to participate? I have a bunch of other ideas that I'm not going to use that may prove fertile ground to kickstart activity. Cheers.
Here will go different concerns anybody wants to bring up about specific artifacts. So far:
- Should we condense the 12 apostle artifacts into one page with tabs? Half of them are average sized, but the rest are very short. We could also include an image gallery at the bottom for those with pictures already.
- How does Brutus' Dagger differ from the 23 Blades from the Assassination of Julius Caesar ?
They bother me, people. I want to make a goal. By this time next week, everyone who can should pick at least two red links on the registry and mkae a page for them. Keep in mind they may be from existing fics and you should always check. If you don't have time to mkae a whole page then jot down you idea for an effect and let me know, I'll take care of it. Let's get the list all purpled up peeps!
I remember someone mentioned they wanted to add each Warehouse a category so we could see which iteration collected which artifacts. I would be welcome to see that, but with one condition
I don't think it needs to be a high priority change. There are over 4000 artifact pages, with 100s of other agents, events, Warehouses, etc. That's alot of edits, which take up time and energy. It doesn't have to be changed for every page already on the site like when the infoboxes changed. Just for new pages and ones that are already being editied i.e. adding picturs, rewriting.
I feel like that if we were to talk about props, and prop replicas, we should talk about Warehouse 13 and what has been done. Any propmakers out there that work on this stuff? If so, what the project you're currently on with Warehouse 13? Any previous project that you would like to share?
Ok, so I made Da Vinci's Perpetual Motion Machine, and added a bit of history (even including a bit where he tore out the pages about such a machine from his notebook, which would lead to the idea on why he said, such a machine was a "fool's dream"), and the effects are noted. But I need a bit of help.
For starters, the image saved here, isn't poping up on the Artifact Infobox. Along with that, the last it was mentioned was in Asile YYZ-2112. I have no idea why such an aisle isn't on here, but it exists, and has been used twice in the Warehouse 13 Webisodes. Finally, the machine is a Cannon Artifact.
I'm not sure what else to do, and I'm having a bit of trouble since some info is ambiguitous. Help, plz.
I just saw that SyFy is selling off a bunch of their show's stuff, inculding Warehouse artifacts, props, and set pieces! I figured the Agents here would enjoy at least taking a peek.
So for anyone here with money and an interest in bidding: LOOK HERE
(also hello, it's been a while)
Hi all, just wanted to ask something real quick. Would anybody be open to me making some new artifact challenges?
I looked over the ones posted on the site and realized most are unfinished, either due to prompt length or time commitments for research. I'm thinking about using broader topics (country, period of history, etc.) so we already have a specific area to look up instead of being all scatter-brained. Also, making them 2 weeks in length, then posting the next topic to keep momentum going.
This way, we can discuss some new ideas and get more interesting results added (more besides John ___ or 10,000th knife). Thoughts, suggestions?
I think I figured out the pattern to why some of the artifact infoboxes appear as blank boxes instead of being filled with info. Those artifacts have the original infobox format, which was twice as long as the current template and not standardized. I don't know what system change across the site caused them to suddenly falter, but its only affecting pages with the old template.
If you find any examples that need to be fixed, either apply the Template:Infobox/Artifact, which is also linked through the title "source" at the bottom of most current infoboxes, or add it here to be changed.
This is probably also why the individual Warehouse pages have the same problem, using some homemade infobox which is subject to editing changes. If it's possible, I'll try my hand at creating one (try is the key word).
Um. So I have finally have gathered the courage to do a fanfic, and my first fanfic ever is done. (It's a Fallout Who fanfic, but I did make one. Link ) So now thinking on doing a Warehouse 13 fanfic. I'm figuring out the details for what to do in it, but I'd like to put it on the FanficRP Wiki, and I'm wondering what the rules for doing that are. So what are they? I haven't had any luck finding them.
Hello everyone, I've been wanting to say something, but couldn't because I didn't have anything solid, but now that I do, it's time to say something.
I'm am working on a Warehouse 13 mod for Fallout: New Vegas, and I'm telling you guys first! I'm announcing it on the Nexus Forums later today.
The mod is called 13's Teslas. As you may guess I am going to add all of Warehouse 13's Tesla weapons to the game. Although due to how much work various elements require, I'm not adding them all at once. Instead I'm adding at least one Tesla weapon per version release, and in the order in which they appeared on the show.
Version 1.0 will include the Tesla only, and it'll be released soon. Can't give you a solid date though. (I'm waiting on the meshes and textures, which are almost done.)
If anyone has any tips, suggestions, and/or questions I'd like to here them.
