Custom Farnsworth

Finally getting around to making a farnsworth, i'm thinking of making two, one with insides and another with just the faceplace and electronics.

This Farnsworth is gonna be very different then the usual ones you see in the show, this is going to be more like a military testing farnsworth from the 1940s. Working on the internals right now, which honestly is pretty fun creating internal parts.

I'll update more as i work on it.

Happy New Decade!

Happy New Year everyone! Here's to 11 years of snagigng, bagging, and tagging - and to a decade more!

Man, I remember an old bit of fanart someone drew of the gang watching the New Year's ball, installed on the front of the Warehouse's exterior, drop - I'd plug it, but I can't find it anywhere. If anyone does, be sure to link it in the comments please!

Happy Holidays!

Merry Chrysler everyone! Or should I say Toyota? Either way, Happy All-Holidays-Are-Welcome-Winter guys! Hope everyone's having a good day today, with or without family!

(I had an Agent Log I wanted written by Christmas, but ADHD got in the way for months since I had first thought of it, so I'll get to it when I can - it's a silly one, so if it gets posted, I hope everyone enjoys it!)

Welcome to Spooky Town!

An adventurous soul could conceivably measure the amount of dark and spooky nights since the beginning of time, if they put their mind into it. The process is somewhat lengthy and nowhere near as survivable as consuming an apple on a crisp autumn day, but sufficed to say that there is a weight to such nights. Without all that light of day, the sheer possibility of darkness, and what could be shuffling through its shadows, is so forceful that the witching hour will carve itself into the earth.

Caves, plunged in perpetual darkness, will skew results - no matter how they echo they will never be empty. Man-made structures, abandoned or preserved for the novelty, are only as effective as they are touched by tragedy. Nights spent on the open ocea…

It Arrived!

I finally got my order of the WH13 Board Game! And I'm very glad I sprung for the exra dice/card bag and Leena character.

I don't know how feasible it is, but after I take my sweet time getting acquainted with the rules, maybe we could somehow play together over some kind of stream? Just a thought.

A Warehouse 13 Fan Game

So, I'm currently looking into programs that are free and relatively easy to use so I/we can develop a fan-game in my/our spare time. My initial idea as a pixellated RPG, but the good programs cost a lot of money - then I found a visual novel program called Ren'Py, and I already trust it because the game Doki Doki Literature Club was made using it.

I think a visual novel game would be an awesome way to create an interactive and interesting fan story. If we were to make one, what would you guys be interested in seeing, exploring, or making? The only restrictions would be that we can't include our OCs, and no playing as a character present in the story (aka a Player Character).

There are plenty of possibilities to explore, like a story involvi…

To Have or Not to Have

Something I was thinking about last night was whether we should treat canon characters as if they have permanent or last consequences from their work that weren't shown in canon, if that makes sense.

The examples that came to mind were, for example, puncture wounds/scars and electrical scars on Pete's back from the Spine of Saracen (Jack's body and one of the victims were explicitly shown and said to have marks on their back showing where the Spine attached to their vertebra and spinal cord, and Pete not only had the Spine on him, which gave off electricity, but got hooked up to a generator and electrocuted him with intense voltage; but, after that episode, Pete's back never had scarring, likely due to the show's ignoring certain things, et…

Tree of Jesse

  • 6 Extra Info

The Tree of Jesse is a depiction in art of the ancestors of Christ, shown in a tree which rises from Jesse of Bethlehem, the father of King David and is the original use of the family tree as a schematic representation of a genealogy. It originates in a passage in the biblical Book of Isaiah which describes metaphorically the descent of the Messiah, and is accepted by Christians as referring to Jesus. The various figures depicted in the lineage of Jesus are drawn from those names listed in the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke.

The most typical form which the Jesse Tree takes is to show the figure of Jesse, often larger than all the rest, reclining or sleeping (perhaps by analogy to Ada…

What Dimension Are You Even In?

Tyler is sitting at a desk working on some art on his computer when his Farnsworth goes off.  Flipping it open with his free hand, he doesn't glance at it as the screen blares to life, "Lepido, go for it."

Over the speakers, the cranky voice of Arite reaches him, "Tyler you wouldn't know by chance why there's suddenly a white door and doorframe in the middle of the TV Aisle do you?"

Now this caught Tyler's attention. Now breaking from his computer, he focuses on the Farnsworth, "Can you open it?"

Artie hesitantly opens it a bit and pokes his farnsworth into it to show a spinning swirl and an giant eye.

Seeing this Tyler smirks, "Artie, you're traveling through a dimension not only of sound but of sight and mind. It's a dimension of shadow and …

Spring Cleaning 2019

As expected, Spring Cleaning always brings around some difficult situations. Weather clearing up means artifacts get antsy to discharge their static. Armor up with the right artifacts to stop the Warehouse from its annual implosion. Again, another year, another set of challenges!

  • The Azure Flute and Poké Ball are getting a little antsy with the new trailers for Detective Pikachu, and they're disturbing the Convention Aisle.
  • Esther Cox's Bedsheets have made their way into the Schoningen Armory. An artifact that causes intensive poltergeist-like activity when in the presence of self-loathing being in a heavily weaponized area of the Warehouse surrounded by artifacts of war is a recipe for explosive disaster.
  • Alexander Jannaeus' Citron needs some…

Custom drawings for unique artifacts

We have all seen the amount of pages without images and have helped shrink that number down a bit. And we all know how talented an artist Wiles is, creating artifact cards and pictures for the odd objects.

On this page, we can keep track of which artifacts would be better suited for drawing, especially if it's difficult to find a suitable picture online. I will also be trying my hand at some of the simpler ones as I slowly learn which programs work well.

Story Ideas

So, for the past few months, I've been brainstorming some story ideas and plot concepts that I've been meaning to get to, but just haven't had the time, energy, or motivation to work on them. Rather than keep them locked up in my head, I think it's for the best I let you all know about them so it might motivate me to work - and, perhaps, we might make them a collaborative effort?

Haunts of the Past

As the Halloween season decends upon us, a ghost of the past arises on the wikia: Affectos'''''....

Okay, seriously though, Garr finally figured out how to stream and we watched a few of the WH13 specials which re-ignited a small flame in me.

So, today I come bearing a few concepts and ideas that for artifacts tying into the season.  I'll be avoiding the obvious horror film landmarks and going for more original concepts that might not have gotten their fair spotlight: Horror Attractions.

This was what kicked it off for me: how an English theme park used an existing Urban Legend and made a horror ride that is still in operation today.

The story is

The legend goes that on an autumn night Earl of Shrewsbury was returning to his home at Alton Tower…

My Warehouse 13 Spin-Off Idea (And a Potential Movie)

I can't quite remember if I discussed this elsewhere on the wiki, but basically my idea to bring WH13 back to the small screen is a series of short seasons, each focusing on each past Warehouse - 1-12 at the least, and if I'm lucky, the beginning of Warehouse 13.

ProfDraco advised that the seasons would need to be short so as to have a bigger budget for the sets and costuming, which given the widely varied locations and time periods, would obviously be immensely important.

As of yet I don't have any specific plots planned out for any season except the first, dealing with Alexander the Great and Warehouse 1. Obviously, it would focus on the collection of the Minoan Trident and the founding of the Warehouse itself. Given that Warehouse 2 was f…

WH13 Reboot Series Idea Script And Treatment

I've loved Warehouse 13 ever since I first watched it, and I've never stopped loving it even after it was taken off the air. I loved it so much in fact that it inspired me to try and create a possible reboot series for it. I even wrote a pilot script for it already, and I think it's actually pretty dang good. Here's the script if anyone wants to read it. I will warn you, though. It's 108 pages, so if you do decide to read it, be prepared to read a lot. I'll also include the series treatment for you all to read if you want a little extra information on what my ideas were for the direction of this series. You can find that here. I hope you all enjoy this stuff, and feel free to leave any feedback you may have on my message board. I'd really …

Beyond the Laughing Sky

THE B&B

Garrett and Pete bolted from their bedroom doors on the upper floor of the Bed and Breakfast. Pete was hoisting a pair of jeans up his legs while Garrett pulled a shirt down over his head.

“It’s mine!” Pete yelled out.

They rushed for the staircase and raced each other down the steps, each using the other as leverage to propel themselves further. Their combined footsteps sounded not unlike a bucket of large bouncy balls that had been dumped down the wooden stairs.

“No, I’ve got it!” Garrett shouted.

They turned the corner halfway down the staircase onto the lower section. When they neared the the bottom, they both tried to jump forward and skip the last step at the same time. As a result, they became stuck, inner shoulders pressed toget…

Spindrift

Thousands of feet in the clear and twilit sky at hundreds of miles an hour, a large, metallic object hurtled towards the Earth below.

GREENBELT, MARYLAND - GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER

A woman at her desk yawned and rubbed her eyes in an attempt to ease the aching from her blaring screen. Windows of codes, commands, and controls completely covered her computer desktop.

The man next to her glanced her way, a small headset that matched her own covering his ears. “You holdin’ up there?”

She stretched. “Barely,” she replied through a yawn. “We’ve been here all day. Thank God we’re almost done tonight.”

The man smiled and pulled a small energy drink bottle from a nearby bag and handed it to his neighbor. She thanked him and shook her head - if she do…

A Warehouse 13 D&D Campaign

So, my family and I have gotten into D&D recently (at my suggestion, actually), and earlier today I got the idea of us developing a campaign in the WH13 universe, for us (or at least some of us) to develop and play.

As cool as it is to play D&D at all, playing with family is incredibly restricting in terms of roleplaying and OOC interaction. Ironically, there's even more awkwardness when you try to RP with family (at least, in my experience and with my family), the possibility of even mildly dirty jokes goes out the window, and given that I'm the black sheep of my immediate family, there aren't many references or current jokes/trends/whatever I can make that my family would understand (in-game or OOC). If that all makes sense, it's hard fo…

Prospective Question

Nobody here would happen to have any experience in YouTube web series, would they? Today I got it in my head that I want to make a WH13 fanfiction YT series (likely taking place before the main series so the suspension of disbelief is more, well, believable, but then again I might wanna include computer stuff and that wasn't in the Warehouse until around the 70s).

Actors, costumes, setting, set design, etc. would be among the most difficult parts, as well as production equipment (good cameras, mics, etc). I'm sure Wiles would be good at anything involving a computer display, and he's excellent at recreating the paper tags as well. Unless we needed something extremely specific, my town has at least 5 antique stores filled with hundreds of in…

A Special Occasion, and Looking Back

Happy birthday to myself the Angst Magnet himself! Now we're he's 19, around Claudia's age when she came to the Warehouse (if not just a year older)! Wish I had something cool to say about him, but all I have are feels I can't properly put into words.

To think, he used to just be a silent self-insert that was so awkward and didn't know what to do around here (much like myself). But after the darkest period of my life so far, being without you guys for several months, we both came out a little banged up (that's an understatement, but much better in the long run. It was because of that depressing episode that I changed what was supposed to be a short one-off meant to bring Garrett and Felix together (bc I had a crush on him/Draco back then) beca…

Amelia Earhart

So, since it's been recently concluded that Amelia 's remains were found in 1940 and had just been mis-analyzed until this year, should we remake Amelia's artifacts (at least her Goggles) with that information in mind?

Something interesting I found while reading her Wikipedia page:

"Around April 1940, a skull was discovered and buried, but British colonial officer Gerald Gallagher, a licensed pilot, did not learn of it until September. Gallagher began a search and radioed his superiors that he had found a "skeleton ... possibly that of a woman", along with an old-fashioned sextant box, under a tree on the island's southeast corner."

From this article:

"The expedition’s officer ordered a more thorough search of the area, which resulted in the …

UGH...

I just tried to make a page based on the Red Thread of Fate from Chinese mythology to get back into the groove of things. I had a concept, something about it being able to reveal interpersonal connections and its status being connected to those relationships (meaning, if it were somehow severed, so to were those relationships), romantic or not.

But, I got stuck on how it would work. My first idea was that if it were unraveled, the string would snake its way towards the user's destined lover(s), no matter the distance - but I realized that's an impractical effect, especially if there really is a great distance between lovers.

Then I tried thinkinf of the idea of something like, when wrapped around part of a user's body, the string leads them…

Okay, New Rule

From now on, if anyone has had an idea for an artifact that has not been made into a page, whether you've wrote it down in a notebook, a Google Doc, or in a fic someplace, put it somewhere on this wiki.

I do not want to see anyone get upset because someone else had an artifat idea first, or because someone else's effect was better when they had no idea it existed in the first place, and feel terrible. I don't want to see people fighting, and I hate that shit like this keeps driving Wiles, our freaking Founder, away for months and months on end. I'm sick and tired of him feeling trashed.

Artifact Assistance... Again

Hey guys! So, I've been wanting to make an artifact to start getting myself back in the groove of things, but I'm struggling to find a good origin. Of the ones I have so far, none of them are a perfect match. Yes, in the show, Maurice Vermerch's Waffle Iron had the downside of melting the face of whoever ate the waffles, but a waffle iron is very hot and cooks liquid batter, so it sort of makes sense in that regard even if it doesn't relate to the owner itself.

The idea is that it's an artifact belonging to either a pastry chef or candy maker that allows the user to createendless amounts of sweets. However, the user wll be unable to make the sweet that they love most. For an origin, so far I have 4.

I wanna apologize for my minimal presence on the wiki for the past... few months? Thinking about how it feels like I've abandoned the wiki makes me feel absolutely terrible, and I'm so sorry. This place is my home, you guys are my family, and I should be contributing.

The months have sort of just been going by, my school schedule isn't the best for inspiring creativity, and I just haven't found much inspiration for artifacts (I tend to have an idea first, then look for an origin to match; if I find an origin first, I get stuck on which of the multiple potential effects to give it). On top of that, I tried to write two stories (the first I didn't write ahead for and couldn't plan out, the second required/requires help from someone who isn't …

Late Christmas Proposal

HEY! I'm still not dead! I hope everyone's doing well this month and that you enjoy your holidays, whatever you celebrate!

I was wondering if anyone was available this week to watch the WH13 Christmas specials, all together like one big family on some streaming site? I'd really love to do that this year, since we didn't get the chance to watch the finale together.

Please comment as soon as you can so we can try to coordinate!

Update: MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS! I hope everyone's enjoying themselves today and that you're getting stuff you love! I'm hoping to watch "Secret Santa" and "The Greatest Gift" with Affectos on Picarto today (if he gets two hours free, of course). If it works out, I'll link it here for you guys to join if you're able.

I'm Not Dead!

I am soooooo sorry for the long inactivity guys! I just haven't had any inspiration when it comes to the wiki lately. BUT! A couple of days ago I had two vague artifact concepts. One's a bit more thought out than the other, but I'll list them both here in case anyone wants to discuss them.

  • Ernest Gary Gygax's Dice Set - From the co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons and the inventor of its dice set, these dice allow the roller to roll for pretty much every action in real life, although they technically don't have to. For example, if you wanted to bake a cake, you could roll an ability check. You roll a 20, you suddenly baked the best cake your friends have ever tasted. You roll a 1 on perception check? A friend describes it as "walking into a bank…

I Am Thankful For...

I am thankful for Alexander the Great. Without him, we'd have no Warehouses.

I am thankful for Neutralizer. Without it, artifacts would be going crazy all the time.

I am thankful for artifacts. Without them, the world would be so boring.

I am thankful for Jack Kenny. Without him, We'd have no Warehouse 13.

I am thankful for Warehouse 13. Without it, my life would be so boring.

I am thankful for the Artifact Database. Without it, my life would be so worse off. I'd be lonely, depressed, and nowhere near as creative as I am now.

Without this show, this place, I wouldn't be without just friends. I wouldn't have a family. I wouldn't have a boyfriend I love. I wouldn't have a home.

I am thankful for all of you. I've said this before and I'll say it agai…

Agent Artifact Challenge Three: Bountiful Times

Hello there, scarecrows in the pumpkin patches and geese in the skies, welcome to November! The leaves are dropping like the temperature as we prepare for the last hurrahs of the harvest season and the start of the holidays. However, something threatens to ruin our latest Thanksgiving (besides the burned stuffing).

A new variant of neutralizer was whipped up to test on peskier artifacts. There was a glimmer of potential at first, until agents realized it only delayed the effects. In fact, they appeared stronger and even weirder when forced to bottle up their energy. Whatever the case, the latest batch was meant to have a little saved for testing and the rest incinerated. Unfortunately, the mix was accidentally dumped into the main works.

Now t…

New Artifact Ideas

So, I realized that I have a ton of saved links in my Chrome on my phone, and as I was going through them, I realized a lot of them I saved because they had cool concepts that I thought I could turn into artifacts. So, finally, I am going to go through all of them and list them below. Let me know what you think! I also included links to the stories that inspired these artifacts as reference, though some are more obscure than others. I also made a separate section for artifacts which I haven't fully refined idea-wise, and any help with them would be greatly appreciated!

The Warehouse's Online "Fan Community"

So, I've been rewatching the series from the start (oh how I wish I could go back to experiencing all of this for the first time just one more time) and came upon the Season 3 episode "Trials" (the one with Mary Mallon's Knife and Walter Winchell's Tie Clip). After the old man transfers his son's leukemia to himself, he says this:

THEN, I remembered THIS from the book "A Touch of Fever":

'Modern medicine had always let him (Calvin Worrall) down, so over time he had been forced to look elsewhere. Over the years, he had squandered much of his inheritance acquiring rare objects and talismans reputed to possess miraculous healing properties. Imported water from Lourdes. A silver grail that supposedly once belong to Prester John. Potions derived…

Seven Deadly Sins

So I have been creating artifacts for Halloween time of year.  Started with several artifacts relating to serial killers and moving on to some based off the Seven Deadly Sins.  Which researching one for Gluttony I came up with a reason why they were collected.  I basically created a short fictional explaination however the culprit who was using the artifact maliciously would be a prime person to have been bronzed after being apprehended.

My Question is: Can I create a fictional person to be bronzed or does it have to remain historically correct?  There's a person who might fit the bill but they weren't actually named so I'd be stuck in the same situation, to just create a person for the incident.

Found Episode Podcasts!

http://origin-new.syfy.com/warehouse13/podcasts.php (Podcasts for Season 1 episodes 6, 8, 10-12, and Season 2 episodes 1-12)

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ndbmedia/2014/05/21/fandom-access-warehouse-13-special-with-special-guests (Talking about unused episodes and plots, like Hans Christian Andersen's Mechanical Bird).

I've been hoping to find these for a while so we can finally get the information for ourselves and catalogue them for future use. Too many times information we've needed or wanted has disappeared, never to be seen again, but this? This is a step in the right direction.

I'll try to download the audio/video files for safe keeping, I suggest multiple people here do the same in cases something happens to our computers, okay?

In Hindsight

Steve is still the odd man out in the show, he still feels like an afterthought. I mean, just think about it:

1. Other than Abigail, who was only present for one season, Steve was the only main character added, and only after season 3 (which started a separate plot to Season 2, and Season 2 was connected to Season 1. Meaning, Steve wasn't added for a reason other than to provide a new dynamic when the writers couldn't think of anything new)

2. Out of everyone's backstory, Steve's is the least tragic. Claudia lost her whole family, Pete lost his dad, Myka lost her partner, Artie lost his home, family, friend, and many coworkers, Mrs. F. lost her sister and family over the years, and even Abigail lost her patient. Leena doesn't even have a backs…

More Board Game Stuff

1. https://w13.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

The game is up for pre-order for $50 and includes the exclusive Leena character. After a certain point, though, Leene can't be included in the pre-orders.

2.  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/idg/warehouse-13-the-board-game/posts/2014214

The game is coming to a Con in Dallas, Texas this November. I doubt I'll get to go, but I wonder if any of the cast will be there. I think Eddie might, at least.

A Little Proposal

So, I'm reading one of my stories (Retritaliation to be specific), and an idea pops into my head that I've considered a few times, but now I want to ask around. What do you guys think of making one of our stories audio play or "audiobook"? If we go with the former, we'd need someone good with editing and getting sound effects, and for both ideas one of us would need a decent mic. Heck, we could all pitch in and voice our respective characters, show everyone what we imagine our characters to sound like. What do you guys think?
