Origin[]
Blaise de Vigenere (1523 - 1596) was a French diplomat, cryptographer, translator and alchemist. The method of encryption known as the "Vigenere cipher" was originally attributed to Vigenere however he created a stronger autokey cipher in 1586, the original was created by Giovan Battista Bellaso. Vigenere's cipher uses a reciprocal table of ten alphabets and instead of being based on the first letter of a word in the letter he used a letter agreed upon before communication.
Effects[]
Ink used from this artifact will change the words written into an encrypted message. One must use the Vigenere cipher to read the message.
