OriginEdit

Blade Runner was produced in 1982 by Ridley Scott and starred Harrison Ford as former Blade Runner Rick Deckard. Reluctant, Deckard agrees to take on one last mission, tasked with finding six escaped Replicants, led by Roy Batty. His job was to hunt down and “retire” rogue Replicants, lifelike androids that have escaped the off-world colonies and returned to earth. The film concludes with the death of all the Replicants, marked by Batty’s ending monologue “All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain”.

Filmed as an homage to the noir film genre, the movie was met negatively at first. However, its exposure over time has led to its recognition as a masterpiece and one of the best science fiction films ever created. Its rise to cult film status has been greatly due to its directing, cinematography and use of philosophical themes, such as humanity and longevity.

EffectsEdit

When slammed shut, will summon a downpour that will slowly turn everything in the area to rain. The drizzle from the rain will melt items from the top down into rain until it touches the ground, acting like an incredibly fast erosion.
