History[]
Bela Lugosi (1882-1956) was a Hungarian-American actor best known for his role as Count Dracula in the original 1931 film of the same name.
Collection[]
His son decided to auction off Lugosi's cape, but nobody bid on it. About a week after the son's failed attempt to sell the cape, Artie met him and then acquired it for the Warehouse.
Effects[]
The cape, when disturbed, releases and cloud of eerie mist from its fold to create a spooky atmosphere. This effect causes a significant portion of the fog that hangs around the Samhain Sector. At certain intervals it releases two or three small vampire bats that fly around for a few seconds before vanishing in a cloud of smoke. Though the effects are passive, they can be used to create a significantly creepy atmosphere.
When agent Pete Lattimer wore it during the Halloween of 2012, it was discovered that the wearer can control the amount of mist and the release of the bats with enough focus.
