Origin[]
Barnes Wallis was a British wartime engineer and inventor who created several novel and effective countermeasures against the enemy. Although he did remarkable work in designing newer designs for airplane structure, his most famous innovations involved bombs.
First he created the bouncing bomb, which would skip over the water like a stone before detonating, avoiding obstacles such as torpedo nets. This type was used in Operation Chastise to successfully destroy several dams in the Ruhr Valley. Next came Tallboy and Grand Slam, designated class: earthquake bomb. These were to be deployed from a high altitude, penetrate the earth and then explode underground, making it useful for larger and more difficult targets. His last design was the blockbuster – solely built to contain explosive energy powerful enough to destroy large structures such as underground bunkers.
Seen briefly in passing during "Pilot", occupying several shelves.
Effects[]
Emanates seismic waves capable of upheaving massive volumes of earth and obliterating large stone and metal structures. The larger the displacement in altitude, the more powerful a shock the model will create. Normally can be felt miles away from the impact zone and will basically cause the immediate area to vaporize into pieces.
