Origin[]
Banksy is an anonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director of unverified identity. The unknown artist uses dark humor executed in a distinctive stenciling technique. Banksy's work of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world. Though the leader of a street artist group who work out of the Bristol underground scene no one knows who the leader is. The reason Banksy's name and identity remains unknown is because graffiti is a crime, plus his locations require illegal acts. For example Banksy broke into the London Zoo creating messages over the penguin and elephant enclosures.
