On 7 April 2012, an avalanche hit a Pakistani military base in Gayari Sector, near the Siachen Glacier region, trapping 140 soldiers and civilian contractors under deep snow. Soldiers from the 6th Northern Light Infantry were trapped and buried at 13,000 feet and were unable to be located in time by rescue forces.
Effects[edit | edit source]
When worn and surrounded by at least 134 other people, the crowd will be rendered nearly immobile and suffer from extreme hypothermia.
