OriginEdit

Allan Pinkerton was a detective and spy who founded the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, a security agency dedicated to detective work and security. With a strict set of moral and legal rules, he started out as a low level detective and began consulting with railroad companies to solve train robberies. This work brought him in contact with engineer George McClellan and lawyer Abraham Lincoln; in his meantime, Pinkerton helped fund abolitionists Frederick Douglass and John Brown. When the Civil War broke out, Pinkerton was chosen to serve as the head of Intelligence. He would regularly go undercover to gather information from the enemy and even prevented an assassination plot en route to President Lincoln’s inauguration.

is company resumed chasing outlaws after the war and expanded heavily in membership, spreading the image of a private eye. After his death, it acted more as a private military force, which was used as guards and strikebreakers, rather than the protectors and investigators Pinkerton originally envisioned.

EffectsEdit

Lets the user gain a preemptive sense warning them of danger. They can feel their hairs stand on end, stomach tighten and skin sweat when approaching a dangerous person or situation. Although unsure of the specific danger, they will know to either avoid or research the area before continuing their activities. Over time, the user’s professional partners and employees will slowly lose focus of the founding principles, usually going against the user’s wishes.
