Origin[edit | edit source]

Ali Asghar Borujerdi (1893 - 1934) was the first Iranian serial killer and rapist known as Asghar the Murderer. Borujerdi started his killing spree at a young age of fourteen. A devout Islam he believed that the reason he was able to get away with his killings was because he was sanctioned by Allah. One night he went out to kill a young boy but was seen by the boy's friend who reported him. Escaping to Tshran, Iran he continued his murder until he was caught and executed.
