Origin

This chess set was originally owned by Alexander Alekhine and was used as a method of practice whist at home or traveling to a chess competition.

This artifact was mentioned in the season 4 episode "Parks and Rehabilitation".

Effects

Winning a game of chess against an opposing player allows the winner to absorb the loser's intelligence, greatly improving their brainpower.

The pieces move on their own occasionaly, so to keep it content the pieces are randomised at regular intervals so the artifact does not become restless. If left to its own devices, it may "win" a game against itself, unleashing an area effect.
