Origin[]
Alcibiades (450 - 404 BC) was a prominent Athenian statesman, orator and general, the last famous member of the Alcmaeonidae family. This was mostly due to his ever changing allegiance in the Peloponnesian War jumping from being an advisor in Athens to fleeing to Sparta when the tides changed. Alcibiades helped supervise several major campaigns against Athens. Most were swayed by his words however his tongue was both silver and double sided as he soon made such powerful enemies that he ran to Persia until his Athenian political allies recalled him to Athenian. When the war came to a close his enemies succeeded in exiling him a second time.
