Albert Anastasia (1902 - 1957) was one of the most ruthless and feared Cosa Nostra mobsters in the United States history. As one of the founders of the Italian American Magic, Anastasia ran Murder Inc. Eventually becoming the boss of the Gambino crime family he was considered on of the most feared hit-man earning the nickname "the Mad Hatter". On the morning of October 25th, 1957, Anastasia entered a barber shop in order to get a shave. While relaxing in the chair a pair of men came inside and fired upon Anastasia. Even at that close range they missed the mobster who moved out of his chair to escape. However in his confusion Anastasia stumbled into the mirror, shattering it before receiving another round of shots. Out of the chair these bullets struck and killed him.
