Origin

During the Second World War, the race was on to find bigger and more dangerous methods of ensuring victory. The Dayton Project was a top secret program that worked with creating atomic weaponry, and the results of their research culminated in the dropping of the Fat Man on Nagasaki.

Specificly, it was the creation of the Modulated Neutron Initiator, also known as the "Urchin" model. Called so because it resembled the sea creature, the "Urchin" was the trigger that caused the detonation of the bomb.

Effects

When contact is made with one of the spines of the "Urchin", the artifact is set. When the affected tries to reveal a secret after contact, they will be struck mute for a varying amount of time, depending of the severity of the secret disclosed. Due to the immense paranoia surrounding the Dayton Project regarding secrets being stolen, the artifact may also infect people with paranoid delusions if they are exposed over a long period.
