OriginEdit

Halloween Horror Nights began at Universal Studios Florida in 1991 under the title "Fright Nights", created by Julie Zimmerman and John Paul Geurts. The event was renamed "Halloween Horror Nights" in 1992 and advertised as the "Second Annual Halloween Horror Nights". It began as a three-night event, but has now been extended to 30 nights, spanning from Wednesday through Sunday night each week. It involves the creation of houses and zones based on horror themes, such as Bayou Voodoo, "The Walking Dead", "Alien vs. Predator", etc. Several characters such as The Caretaker, Jack the Clown, and mroe are iconic characters featured in advertising for several iterations of HHN.

EffectsEdit

When the machine is supplied with fog liquid and turned on, the fog will create various creatures and people with the intent of being completely horrifying. Zombies, maniacs, monsters, and the like will emerge from the fog in hordes every 90 minutes. In addition, the fog with either create its own "haunted house" zones based on what are commonly considered scary at the time of its activation (such as popular horror films), or will change its surroundings into a twisted version of its former self.

The monsters or "people" the fog machine produces will stop at nothing to intensely scare those around them, and seemingly have no limit to their methods. In short, they will resort to jumping, shouting, kidnapping, harming/torturing, or even rarely murdering, to frighten their victims, and in effect are considered as dangerous as the real things they are based on.

CollectionEdit

This fog machine was stolen on Halloween Night, 1991, by Oto Barry from the first iteration of "Fright Nights" after he saw several entities physically emerge from the fog. While more than willing to let the creatures terrorize the park, he instead immediately turned the machine off (instantly causing the entities to disappear) so as to not make a scene. It has been in his possession ever since, and was used to create one of his several hidden torture locations out of an abandoned factory.

Later, in March of 2016, this artifact was used by Oto (now dubbed "PhOto") to create a group of monsters such as zombies, voodoo shamans, killer clowns, and more in order to kidnap several agents on a rescue mission for Agent Garrett Scott. After "PhOto" was defeated, the agents collected all of the artifacts within the factory, this fog machine among them.
